Pet ID Tags

This little guy is Bagel. I found Bagel standing in the middle of a busy street not far from my home, looking confused and alone. I stopped, opened my car door, and Bagel was in my passenger seat.

Bagel had on a collar but no Pet ID tag.  I posted "Found Dog" signs in the neighborhood where I found Bagel, ran ads in newspapers, posted on Craig's.  I already have 2 dogs and 3 was a bit of a full house.

HAPPY ENDING: Three weeks later Bagel's family called and now he is safely home where he belongs. Oddly enough, his name was not really Bagel (though that seemed to me the obvious name for a Beagle.)

The little Beagle I found had a loving family that missed him dearly, yet it was 3 weeks before he was reunited with his family because he carried no form of Pet Identification to help me find his owner.
