Your Pet?
Seriously, why
would I protect myself with a seat belt and not my pets
with a
dog car seat
or
dog seat belt
?
Do I want to
save my own life more than the life of those animals
that live with me?
Does your dog or cat travel with you
in the car? I require my car passengers to wear a seat
belt..so why not my pets?
I
have a
dog car safety
harness
for my dogs and here is
why.
The dog won’t be able to distract
me while I am driving the car. Distractions are very
dangerous to drivers. Talking on cells phones, young
children and roving pets are all distractions. I have one
dog that sits quietly and one dog that wants to sit in my
lap to help steer. I have a
dog harness restraint
for both.
Sudden unexpected stops can cause
my dog that is sitting quietly to fly forward into the
floor, into back seat, or dashboard. This will probably
injure my dog and greatly upset me. The dog that likes to
steer instantly becomes my airbag. That can't be good news
for that dog.
Dogs won’t be able to put their
head out the window. Even a tiny spec of flying debris can
do serious damage to a dog’s eye or nose. Dogs' ears fly
back and expose their eardrums to harm. A
dog safety harness
will allow them to sit near an open window and
enjoy the fresh air, yet their body remains inside the
vehicle.
Not only will the dog not be able
to put their head out the window, they won’t be able to get
their body out either. Dogs are instinctive creatures and
may try to jump out of the car through the window at a stop
light to make friends with another dog. This could be
tragic.
Many dogs will run or even bite if
frightened. If you and your pet are in a serous auto
accident, your dog is going to be terrified. He may run
from the accident unharmed, only to be hit by another car.
An injured dog is easier to help when medical attention
arrives if he is already secured in a

.
A
pet harness
is very comfortable once the dog gets
used to it. Dogs can have a difficult time laying down in a
seat when the car is speeding up, slowing down and
constantly turning. With a

, a dog can stand, sit, or lay down comfortably
and not have to worry about bracing themselves against car
maneuvers.
A
dog car restraint
shows you to be a responsible and caring pet
owner as well as a responsible driver. Friends and
strangers will see how important your pets are to you and
may get a

for their pets (especially those dog
owners that let their pets ride unrestrained in the back of
their pick up truck and you want to speak with them about
it but you don't because you know they have a gun). You may
be responsible for saving another dog’s life.
Do I want to
save my own life more than the life of those animals
